Clearing That Writer’s Block That’s Blocking Your Creativity

Clearing writer’s block can be really tough; you don’t know where to start, you don’t even have any ideas on what to write about, and it’s much easier to just close the document down and get on with something else! But every single time you decide to give up and try another day, you’re losing the battle with the writer’s block that’s clouding your creative vision.

So it’s time to give something new a try. It’s time to get serious about dealing with the writer’s block you just can’t seem to get past. Most of all, it’s time to look into some more heavy duty ways to get rid of it, and with the points below, we hope to help you do just that.

Pick Up a Few Prompts

If you can’t write on the one thing you would really love to be able to work on, face facts and move on for a little while. You won’t get anything done at all if you’re just staring at a screen and willing an idea to form, but if you look up some writing prompts online, you’ll have the chance to form some new, fresh ideas that’ll get your creative gears grinding again.

Take Some Time to Relax

Let’s say you’re not a full time writer, and have to work elsewhere to make ends meet. What do you do when you first get home? Do you try to immediately boot up a blank document and get something down? Because if so, there’s a good chance you’re getting in your own way here! You need to do something to relax.

You need to be able to have your creativity flow from a place of freedom and stability, and when you’ve been grinding all day already, you’re definitely not going to feel like you’ve got it in you to write the next bestseller! Indeed, you could purchase a CBD product from Kaya Hemp Company to even help with this; let your muscles relax and get rid of all the stress you’re carrying, and take about an hour just to chill out and get into the right headspace.

Just Put Down Whatever!

And finally, if you feel really stuck, and like you can’t form a coherent sentence for your project at all, just write down what you’re actually thinking! Because once you do, you’ll have a sentence to work with, and build on and edit later on, and that means you’ve made some progress. You can’t refine an empty page, but you can take all of the unhinged and loosely structured sentences you’ve written down and make something more bold and meaningful out of them.

If you’ve got writer’s block, don’t worry – it’s not going to stick around forever! Take the time to relax and take a break, and let your mind fill up with the energy it needs to be creative again. And if in doubt, take inspiration from elsewhere, and write down even the most nonsensical of ideas!
